Let's find out who I am professionally, but first a few quick notes about me.
I'm a problem solver, the "go-to" guy in the shop and office. I've got a wide variety of professional experience that has groomed me to be in a Manufacturing, Quality, or Continuous Improvement position. I have worked with some incredibly smart and talented people on very complex and critical jobs. I would like to continue working in and making improvements within a positive work environment and continue to learn and apply the things I have learned throughout my career.
My experience includes injection molding, mold die making, custom robotic cell production, precision machine tool operation, tube bending tooling and manufacturing, automotive supply chain, submarine and aircraft carrier manufacturing, CMM programming and operation, complex heavy equipment manufacturing, full scale NASA rocket production, and nuclear power plant rebuilding, and aircraft landing equipment manufacturing.

ISO 9001:2008 Implementation – Personally developed the document control procedure, control of nonconforming product procedure, corrective action procedure, and preventive action procedure (and many others) as well implemented training and associated systems. I acted as a primary audit guide during ISO 9001:2008 registration audit. The audit was conducted by British Standards Institute (BSI) and registration was achieved.

Metrology Program - Produced a highly successful volumetric metrology program adapted to large scale, low volume, high quality manufacturing. The metrology program improved prototype assembly, reduced or eliminated specialized fixtures, and improved first article inspection as well as supplier accountability. I was able to supplement the program with an automated system to allow individuals within the organization to submit a metrology request which created a first in first out task list for the inspectors.

Quality Controls - Transferred inspection responsibility from Quality Assurance to manufacturing for internally produced products while maintaining control of the Inspection and Test Plans. Worked with the supplier development team to improve supplier quality controls at the supplier facility which reduced the inspection burden on receiving inspection operations.

Product Development Process (APQP) - Produced the general layout, template, and contributed to the written procedure for the Liebherr Product Development Process.

Business Management System - Lead a team to produce and implement a Business Management System with an all new document controls, templates, processes, and automation to control all business management documentation.

Training - Produced and provided Business Management System and Corrective Action System training to more than 300 employees consisting of presentation (public speaking) and intranet training modules. Also involved many QA individuals in ASQ programs including myself which I am now an ASQ Certified Quality Technician.

Supplier Selection - Produced and implemented a standard supplier selection audit checklist that mathematically evaluates current and potential suppliers.

Human Resources - Produced all new job descriptions for Quality Assurance with progressive levels so employees understand that career advancement was possible. I was also responsible for hiring and training employees as well as employee goal setting, personnel corrective actions and employment termination.

Lean 5S Program - Produced and implemented a highly sustainable 5S program with audit schedules and inventory controls as well as trained all Quality Assurance employees on lean principals.

Business Documentation - Produced or added value to the corporate Quality Manual, strategies, polices, procedures, and work instructions and communicated those documents personally through short presentations held weekly.

Executive Communication - Provided weekly reports directly with members of Senior Management regarding quality issues, recalls, events, and customer complaints. Also responsible for providing monthly key performance indicator reports for Senior Management and management review meetings.

Employee Task Management System - Produced and implemented an employee task management system and process which provided employee accountability and improved management of task assignments. The task management process also created an environment where employees had an opportunity to communicate directly with management and engaged management with shop floor activities.

Employed for several months as the sole Manufacturing Engineer for Liebherr.

Assisted suppliers in optimizing manufacturing processes to reduce variability and cost.

Tooling Engineer - Northrop Grumman

Designed portable machine tools for in place machining on nuclear class submarines and aircraft carriers.

Developed special purpose tooling to aid dry-dock and ship-board construction.

Quickly developed tooling for unplanned events often using prototype tooling to maintain production schedule.

Created a special cup for stud welding through a fixture plate to accurately locate welded studs on decks and bulkheads (considered for patent).

Engineered the tooling and established a method to drill the mounting holes in the four titanium main reactor pumps on the Aircraft Carrier USS Gerald R Ford.

Selected by NASA for a six month project to provide volumetric alignment for the MLAS rocket. Received from NASA an award for "Exceptional Service".

Chosen to assist with the critical Steam Generator Replacement at the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant. I was one of a three selected from roughly 60 individuals.

Used modern portable metrology equipment including laser trackers, CMM arms, theodolites, and INCA cameras and the associated software to align and set weapons and sonar systems on Virginia Class Submarines.
